Patrick and Jeannie Wilshire, guest curators of At The Edge: Art of the Fantastic, are the founders of the Association of Fantastic Art. It is the organization behind the groundbreaking IlluXCon symposium and the Illustration Exchange. They are also co-authors of Visions of Never: The Collection of Fantastic Art and The Art of the Dragon: The Definitive Collection of Contemporary Dragon Paintings. The Wilshires will present a slide show and lecture covering the development of contemporary imaginative realism from its roots in the late 18th century through the present day, focusing on the works of seminal figures such as Waterhouse, Pyle, Rackham, Frazetta, and others.
