Whether your collection is made up of sentimental objects or priceless artworks, it is important to know how to protect your treasures for future generations. In this final preview event before Cocktails & Collecting, professional conservator Laura Hortz Stanton will discuss what causes damage to materials and suggest preservation measures to slow deterioration, detailing which actions can be taken at home and which require the services of a professional. Attendees will view samples of conservation treatments, learn how to select a qualified conservator, and walk away with practical advice for caring for their collections.
