As a lead-in to this fall’s Cocktails & Collecting event on Saturday, November 11, the Museum is hosting several events that explore the considerations of the collector. The first of these events is a discussion between collector Paul Kania (shown at left) and gallerists Ron Rumford, director of Dolan/Maxwell Gallery in Philadelphia, and Dan Lienau of the Annex Galleries in California, both of whom have helped Paul build his collection over the years. Guiding the conversation will be Jim Toia, Lafayette College faculty, artist, and printmaker. This event is free--simply REGISTER now, below left--plus you can buy C&C tickets at a discount.
The C&C preview will continue on September 21 at 6 p.m. with a lecture by an expert from Christie’s auction house, and at 1 p.m. on October 22 with a presentation on caring for your artwork. Discounted tickets to C&C will also be available at these events.
Cocktails & Collecting is the Museum's fall fundraiser, where attendees can purchase the works of up-and-coming and established artists from the Lehigh Valley and beyond. Monies raised through art sales and ticket sales help support the Museum and its mission to serve as a resource for artists, Museum members, and the community.
