AAM members get a light brunch and a first look at the renovated New American Galleries, the first significant rehang of the permanent collection in more than a decade. See recently acquired works—some never seen before—alongside longtime favorites, now in a new context.
You'll also be a part of the historic Opening Day of Free Admission for All, with a welcoming of the community by AAM president & CEO Max Weintraub at 11 a.m. and artist Val Bertoia marking the moment by "playing" his father's sculpture Double Branched Gongs (1970-1971), which stands next to the Museum.
